The Benzos
THE BENZOS is a Grunge band from the Netherlands. A group of best friends just started making music out of their love for Grunge, punk and other heavy music. With influences of Nirvana, Mudhoney and The Smashing Pumpkins they hope to create a sound of melancholic anger mixed with how a mental breakdown would sound. Including, catchy bass, destroying ear drums style of drumming, angsty guitars and raw lazy vocals they create the 90s sound and hope to bring it back to the modern time.
Guitar & Lead singer
Ang is the raw and unapologetic voice behind THE BENZOS. His vocal style blends lazy, raspy tones with bursts of unfiltered emotion, capturing the essence of '90s grunge with a fresh, modern edge. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Kurt Cobain, Ang channels melancholic anger and chaotic energy into every performance, bringing the band's sound to life with an unmistakable authenticity.
Drums
Sim is the relentless force behind the drums in THE BENZOS. Known for his "destroying-ear-drums" style, he delivers thunderous rhythms and explosive energy that drive the band's raw grunge sound. Inspired by the chaotic spirit of '90s legends, Sim's drumming adds an intense, unapologetic edge that captures the essence of a beautiful mental breakdown in every beat.
Bass
Joos is the backbone of THE BENZOS, laying down catchy basslines that pulse with gritty energy and raw emotion. His playing brings a steady groove to the chaos, anchoring the band's sound while amplifying its melancholic intensity. Drawing inspiration from grunge greats, Joos combines simplicity with power, giving THE BENZOS their unmistakable 90s vibe with a modern twist.
